If you can afford that (and have the infrastructure in place to handle billions of quotes per day, even if MultiCharts could handle that, and know how to deal with all this data so that you can still focus on trading), perhaps your budget is also sufficient to contact MultiCharts for custom programming requests. So if you still have issues, it is probably best to change the Security on this folder to allow Users to have Full access. There are 3 Log files and one INI file in this folder that appear to require Write access. Both Charting and Trading.Įven though subsequent running of MC did not need to be run as Administrator, examination of the Security properties on the "C:\Program Files\Multicharts\Multicharts API" shows that it is Read Only for Users. Even after all of the above, it still wouldn't work? What was needed was to run Multicharts as an Administrator ie right click on Multicharts and select "Run as Administrator" This only needed to be done once. I noticed that it can take some minutes for the CQG API to finally get the Firewall application to prompt the user to allow it through.ĥ. I find it best to restart MC and QM after putting in the CQG user and password.Ĥ. Ensure you have a new demo account user
